Lovtsy2018 - St. Petersburg Ready to Host Inspiring Youth Conference

The annual youth conference «ЛОВЦЫ» or "Lovtsy" (in English, "Fishers" --- from Jesus' gospel call to become fishers of men), takes place for the first time in St. Petersburg, Russia, March 8-11, 2018.

This video, produced by the students and ministry interns in the St. Petersburg church, gives you a little bit of an idea of the excitement and energy in the Eurasian churches' youth movement at the moment. It's crucial that we keep this going!

In the early 90's, the Moscow church had 1000 students and teens, who have grown up in the last 25 years into the backbone of the leadership and faithful servants of the church. It's the children of these early converts who are now becoming christians in the teens and student ministries in churches across Eurasia.

Of the 55 students who attended the last session of the Ministry Training Academy in Moscow in November, many were the offspring of that first wave of converts, and are longing to see the miracles of faith and prayer and growth that their parents remember.

There are one million college and university students in the city of Moscow. There are 50,000 in the two largest universities in St. Petersburg. Now is the time to reach them! Would you like to sponsor a student from another city to be able to travel to Lovtsy? So many more would love to attend, than can actually afford the cost of travel. "Inspiring lessons await you, an ocean of encouraging fellowship and an unforgettable time with disciples of Christ," is the call issued on the event's page on V Kontakte (the Russian language equivalent of Facebook -- which, sadly, is now shut down and inaccessible to all its former users in Ukraine, since conflict began between Russia and Ukraine in 2013). Lovtsy is for anyone between the ages of 14 and 30.
